I started some seeds yesterday and today. You know, tomato, melon, and peepper seeds. That kind. I am in a green mood today , it seems.. When I was a kid in the 40's my folks grew the Victory garden to help feed us. It was a good idea based on need at the homefront. Our troops needed what was produced to support the war effort.(WII for you youngsters who may have forgot some History). That dates me! But, anyway, I hated that garden because I had to weed a share of it and these weeds fought very well as they always do. We did get a lot of good stuff out of that patch, both fresh and preserved. It was work for everyone but it was good work.As to my planting, I have always liked fresh produce and this stuff is the freshest. I am not growing it as a Survivalist but on my retirement fixed income it may be a different story in a few years. I am at a stage in life when I can enjoy the gardening process and if I get a bumper crop maybe I will sell some of it and then I can contribute to the trickle up ecomomical program that I believe in so much.

WHO'S IN CHARGE??

WHO IS IN CHARGE OF RNC Current mood: pensive Who is in charge and what is going on between the Republicans and the conservative wing of the party?? Mr. Reid is in charge of the RNC by appointment. He has had to back off on his criticism of Rush's statements reguarding Obamas Start up . Rush Limbaugh is apparently Grand POO Bah of the Consrvative wing. His" radicalness" has stated that he hopes Obama 's programs fail, or worse that his Presidency fails. That appears to be a wish from Rush that the U.S. continues to fail as it seems to have failed under Conservative Bush. How can the leader of the Cons. wish for that??? Apparently he wants the Iraqui mess to continue and the economy to continue to drop. He has always felt that the party line is more importanr that the country and its people. The Republicans better anoint a new leader!!

FAIRNESS AND MODERATION
I hope to open a fair dialogue concerning the value of the "middle of the road" and its worth in keeping the "radical right" and the "radical left" separated and in turn inserting some sanity in the state of our political attitude. It is past the time to erase the partisanship of the past 24 years . The Limbaughs and Hannitys and Coltures have done enough damage to our countries political health. I would mention the far left, but they have been overwhemed in the same time span. The right and the left need to be calmed and the quiet Middle needs to speak up. They are the ones who make this country work the way it should. Fairness and moderation in all things and solve the big problems when they occur.
